A monument dedicated to late President Ho Chi Minh will be built in Russia’s Ulyanovsk city, according to the Voice of Russia.
Construction is estimated to cost about 16.5 million rubles (equivalent to 12 billion VND), with half to be covered by Vietnam’s central Nghe An province , 30 percent by Russian companies and the remainder from the Association of Vietnamese citizens in Russia.
According to Head of Ulyanovsk’s Architecture and Urban Planning Department Tatiana Tarasova, the memorial will sit at the site where the bust of Vietnam’s beloved leader currently stands in the Ho Chi Minh Boulevard in Zasviyazhski district.
A 1,300 square metre square is planned to be developed next to the monument.
