The central city of Hoi An has been ranked fifth among the top 10 family destinations by the international magazine Better Homes and Gardens.

Quang Nam (VNA) - The central cityof Hoi An has been ranked fifth among the top 10 family destinations by theinternational magazine Better Homes and Gardens.

Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam isacclaimed most for its centuries-old ambience, homes and streets, its richculture and delicious cuisine, according to the magazine.

"This is one of the best holidaydestinations for families with older children looking to immerse themselves inculture," it wrote.

The tourists can take a taxi to Hoi An from Da Nangcity, which has an airport that receives flights from many countries every day.The distance from Da Nang to Hoi An is about 30 kilometers. It will cost about300,000 (U14 USD) for one way.

Last year, Hoi An was named to the list of thetop 10 places in Southeast Asia by travel publisher Rough Guides.

This year, travel magazine Travel Leisure has named it among the 50 best holidaydestinations around the world.

Besides Hoi An, other family-friendly destinationslisted by the magazine included Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Hawaii, London,Washington DC, Rovaniemi (Finland) and Nadi (Fiji).-VNA
