Honda Vietnam reports hike in retail sales in third consecutive month

Hanoi (VNA) – Honda Vietnam on December 10 announced that its retail sales of motorbikes and automobiles in November rose by 19.4 percent and 51 percent month-on-month, respectively.

It was the third consecutive month the company had posted growth in sales following a sharp reduction in August due to social distancing in cities and provinces nationwide due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, Honda Vietnam sold 201,541 motorbikes in November, up 5.3 percent annually.

Its best seller was Wave Alpha with 38,405 units, or 19.1 percent. It was followed by Vision with 49,312; equivalent to 24.5 percent and Winner X 7,396, or 3.7 percent.

During the month, it exported 17,166 units to different markets.

The company also sold 1,990 automobiles of various kinds, up 51 percent from the previous month.

Among domestically assembled models, City was the most popular sedan with sales of 658 units, or 33.1 percent. Meanwhile, Brio was the most sough-after imported one with 539 units being delivered to customers, accounting for 27.1 percent of the total sales./.
