Hanoi (VNA) – Honda Vietnam on December 10 announced that its retail sales ofmotorbikes and automobiles in November rose by 19.4 percent and 51 percentmonth-on-month, respectively.
Itwas the third consecutive month the company had posted growth in salesfollowing a sharp reduction in August due to social distancing in cities andprovinces nationwide due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Specifically,Honda Vietnam sold 201,541 motorbikes in November, up 5.3 percentannually.
Itsbest seller was Wave Alpha with 38,405 units, or 19.1 percent. It was followedby Vision with 49,312; equivalent to 24.5 percent and Winner X 7,396, or 3.7percent.
Duringthe month, it exported 17,166 units to different markets.
Thecompany also sold 1,990 automobiles of various kinds, up 51 percent from theprevious month.
Amongdomestically assembled models, City was the most popular sedan with sales of658 units, or 33.1 percent. Meanwhile, Brio was the most sough-after importedone with 539 units being delivered to customers, accounting for 27.1 percent of thetotal sales./.
