Hue bookcase project debut first publication

A book entiled “Dia chi Van hoa Hue” (Hue culture chorography) has recently been debuted as the first publication of the central province of Thua Thien Hue’s bookcase project on the local cultural and tourist hub - Hue city.

Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) – A book entiled “Dia chi Van hoa Hue” (Hueculture chorography) has recently been debuted as the first publication of thecentral province of Thua Thien Hue’s bookcase project on the local cultural andtourist hub - Hue city.

The book is a massive collection of works from experienced culturalresearchers, presenting a basis for future selection of books to add to thebookcase, which is planned to have three new publications annually.

At the debut ceremony held on March 17, Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho said the formation of the bookcase aims tointroduce Hue through books, promote reading culture, introduce valuablepublications, create a special gift set of the city, and build a scientificdata serving studies on the province.

It will contribute to turning Thua Thien – Hue into a centrally run city of culture and heritage following the Politburo’s Resolution54-NQ/TW, he stated.

An app of the bookcase is being developed to help its contents reachreaders in Vietnam and overseas./.

“I love my fatherland” journey 2026 launched

The “I Love My Fatherland” journey will comprise seven stages linked to historical, cultural and revolutionary sites across the country. Education ministry targets five digital technology incubators at universities

A key target under the new plan is the establishment of five digital technology incubators, or Deeptech Hubs, at universities and research institutes with strong potential. The education ministry also plans to launch a training programme for 1,000 outstanding technology entrepreneurs and develop criteria for selecting and supporting startup ecosystems within educational institutions.

Vietnam Customs expands capacity to tackle cross-border narcotics crime

Established in November 2025, the NTC comprises six officers from the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Sub-Department specialising in surveillance, intelligence collection and information analysis. The centre is tasked with strengthening customs capacity in risk assessment and drug crime targeting, helping authorities detect and prevent illicit cross-border trafficking of narcotics and other dangerous substances at an early stage.

No “blind spots” in crackdown on smuggling, counterfeit goods

In the Jan-April period, authorities nationwide uncovered and handled nearly 44,000 cases related to smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, while initiating 1,464 criminal cases involving 2,277 suspects, according to the National Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (National Steering Committee 389).
