Hue – Da Nang campaign – Decisive strike for southern liberation, national reunification

The Hue – Da Nang campaign, which took place from March 21 to 29, 1975, was one of the three major campaigns in the Spring 1975 General Offensive and Uprising. Its swift victory shattered the enemy’s defense system in central Vietnam, liberating five provinces and cities: Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai. This triumph also paved the way for the final decisive battle - the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign.
