50 years of Buon Ma Thuot’s victory: Historical turning point of Central Highlands’ liberation
Launching on March 10, 1975, and concluding on March 11, 1975, the Buon Ma Thuot victory in the Central Highlands Campaign delivered a decisive blow that triggered the enemy’s successive defeats. It paved the way for a series of resounding victories by Vietnamese forces, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which brought the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising to a triumphant conclusion, leading to the complete liberation of the South and national reunification. Today, Buon Ma Thuot is designated as a regional hub, driving growth across the Central Highlands.
