Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – Nearly 60 watercolour paintings of Hue, an ancient citadel of Vietnam, are on display at the Imperial City in Hue City, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

Launched on May 19, the exhibition showcases works that depict the beauty of Hue’s architectures and landscapes from the perspectives of 29 painters from Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and China.

The works were created during a four-day painting event organised by the International Watercolour Society in the city from May 15-18.

Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre Phan Thanh Hai said the event is important to the city’s fine arts industry which provides an opportunity for local and overseas artists to meet and exchange ideas for the development of the sector.-VNA
