Illegal migration organiser in Cao Bang prosecuted

Police in the northern province of Cao Bang have started legal procedures against a local man, Nong Van Nien, for organising illegal exit, they said on November 4.

Cao Bang (VNA) – Police in the northern province of Cao Bang havestarted legal procedures against a local man, Nong Van Nien, for organising illegalexit, they said on November 4.

Earlier, the force of Ha Lang district, Thong Nhat commune and Thanh Nhat towndetected Nong Van Chinh (born in 2003), Nong Ngoc Canh (born in 2005) and HoangNong Manh (born in 2004) in Thong Nhat commune carrying three citizens in KhanhHoa, Bac Lieu and Long An provinces on their motorbikes, attempting illegalexit from Vietnam.

Competent authorities then captured Nien, born in 1994 in Thong Nhat commune,who hired the trio to carry those people from Thanh Nhat town to the borderarea for illegal exit.

Further investigation is underway./.

Da Nang tightens fishing vessel management to have EC's IUU yellow card lifted

Under the official dispatch, commune and ward-level authorities must closely monitor every non-compliant fishing vessel within their jurisdiction. Vessel owners are prohibited from taking their boats to sea without complete legal documents and are required to remove all fishing gear and equipment from vessels that are not eligible to operate.
