The Vietnamese and Lao Parties’ Commissions of Inspection are currently holding talks and a friendship exchange in the central province of Nghe An.
The event brought together the head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for Inspection Ngo Van Du and the Chairman of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee (LPRPCC) Inspection Commission Bunthong Chitmany.
It takes place as both parties, governments and peoples are about to celebrate the 35 years since they signed their Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and their 50 th anniversary of diplomatic ties. The event has vividly reflected the special solidarity and relationship that both countries share.
At the event, Du and Chitmany agreed that the talks and exchange will contribute significantly to strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between both countries.
Over the past few years, the two commissions have been working closely together to carry out their cooperation programmes, while stepping up the exchange of delegations. They have been sharing theoretical and practical issues and their experiences in party building, inspections, supervisions and personnel training.
To mark the occasion, the two commissions laid a wreath at the Statue of Uncle Ho in Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City and offered incense to the late President at the alter in Kim Lien village in Nam Dan province, where he was from.-VNA
