According to ItalianAmbassador Lorenzo Angeloni, apart from creating opportunities forartists, businesses and people from both countries to meet, theprogramme will highlight all factors and fields that symbolise therelationship between the two countries.
Specifically, the two sides will deepen mutual understanding, promotethe teaching of Italian, and strengthen bilateral cooperation throughdevelopment programmes, he said.
It will kick offwith an event to mark the decade-long operation of the Italian Languageand Culture Faculty of the Hanoi University , the only one of itskind in Southeast Asia.
Various activities willbe held in April, including the opening of the “Casa Italia” (ItalianHouse), a centre to promote Italian culture and products, as well as avenue to bring Italian culture, businesses and living styles closer toVietnamese people.
A photographic exhibition will beorganised, and an architecture and design contest will be launched forVietnamese and Italian architects.
Besides, manyartists from Italian orchestras and the Rome Concert Association willperform in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City./.VNA
