Hanoi (VNA) – Police and customs officers uncovered six consigned suitcases containing alleged elephant tusks and ivories at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on January 30.
Weighing approximately 180 kilogrames, the confiscated items were carried by three people from Angola to Vietnam.
According to Nguyen Van Hoan, head of the airport’s customs department, after being interrogated, the suspects said they were hired by an individual in Angola to transport the goods into Vietnam.
