(Photo coutersy of Korean Cultural Centre) Hanoi (VNA) – The Republic of Korean Cultural Centre and the Lao CaiDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold Korean Culture Day in Sa Patown on October 24.
The event will take place in the centre of Sa Pa with a range ofactivities to introduce and popularise the culture and tourism of the Republicof Korea (RoK) and Vietnam.
Vietnamese and Korean expat artists including Hansara, K-pop dance troupe TheAcode, Dan bau (monochord) artist Le Hoai Phuong and Co La girl bandwill perform in a show starting at 8pm.
The show will also feature local artists performing songs and dancesfeaturing northwestern culture.
“I hope the event will be meaningful amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which makesnegative impacts on people all over the world,” said Suk Jin-young, the centre's director.
“Ibelieve that this event will strengthen the relationship between the twocountries and between the RoK and Lao Cai province as well.”
Sa Pa is a small town in the northern mountain province of LaoCai, located about 350km from Hanoi.
In recent years, the centre has held Korean Cultural Days in the central cityof Da Nang, Hoi An town in the central province of Quang Nam, coastal Nha Trangcity in Khanh Hoa province, and Da Lat city in the Central Highlandsprovince of Lam Dong.
The event in Sa Pa is expected to boost the close-knit relationship between thetwo countries./.
