Seoul (VNA) - Korean company SBI Cosmoney has presented 10,000 medical face masks to Vietnamese guest workers in the Republic of Korea (RoK).
At the handover ceremony, head of the Vietnamese Labour Management Board in the RoK Ta Thi Thanh Thuy thanked SBI Cosmoney for the gifts and promised to send them to 11 labour support centres, which will pass them on to workers.
According to the board, nearly 47,000 Vietnamese workers are employed in the RoK, and the face masks will be a great help in COVID-19 prevention and control.
SBI Cosmoney CEO Jeong Wook Kim said the company recognises that foreign workers have been hardest hit by the pandemic.
The face masks are part of support the company plans to give to Vietnamese workers, he said, adding that more assistance will be extended to the group in the future, depending on needs.
