Vietnamese coaches and La Liga officials and instructors at the event (Photo: VFF) In an event co-organisedby the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and La Liga, the top men'sprofessional football division in Spain, coaches learned the latest methods forteaching young footballers.
At the three-day eventwhich ended over the weekend, La Liga experts, Tito Burrell and SaulVazquez Chas, instructed the 'La Liga method' to 40 Vietnamese trainees, whichis built based on body condition, characteristics and similarities betweenVietnamese and Spanish players.
The four main subjectswere technique, tactics, physique and Psychology, aiming at developing players'skills and "football IQ".
Lectures related tothe Spanish football system's work and La Liga clubs' operations wereshared at the event.
Vietnamese coaches andtrainers also discussed current Vietnamese football practices and askedfor advice. From discussions, the Spanish instructors added additionalanalysis, shared experiences and gave their opinions on footballdevelopment.
According to the VFF,the La Liga method's advanced training course marked the firstcooperation between the federation, La Liga global and La Liga AcademyVietnam. It would contribute to creating an advanced academic foundation basedon Spanish-styled training hub.
Experienced expertshelped Vietnamese coaches expand and change their thinking, coachingskills, and develop plans for their junior players.
“During the workshop, La Liga instructors were very impressed withthe learning spirit of the trainees," said Pablo Casaos, La Liga Vietnamrepresentative.
"The sessions took place with a lively atmosphere, activelyexchanging knowledge, thereby creating positive effects for the workshop.”
Representing 40 trainees, national U20 coach Hoang Anh Tuan appreciatedthe workshop which delivered useful content and improved their knowledge.
“After five working sessions, we learnt a lot of usefulinformation and skills shared in both theory and practice. The knowledgewill be of great helping us in our job. Hopefully there will be morecourses in the future," Tuan said.
He thanked VFF and La Liga for organising the workshop,helping youth football coaches approach and learn a lot about modern footballpractices in a country with a developed football background like Spain.
The event was one of a number of activities in a series ofcooperation agreement events between VFF and the La Liga.
