NA Vice ChairwomanTong Thi Phong thanked the Lao Party for their warm welcome and passedon the congratulations of the Vietnamese Party and State to Laos onits 36 th National Day. Phong also congratulated Laos on its greatachievements in the process of national construction and development.

She updated her hosts on the highlights of Vietnam ’s socio-economyand activities towards Vietnam-Lao Relations Year 2012, expressingdelight in the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation.

The NA Vice Chairwoman also took this occasion to thank the Lao Party,Government and people for their support, affirming that Vietnam willdo its utmost to foster the special friendship and solidarity betweenVietnam and Laos .

The Lao leaders spoke highly of thedelegation’s visit, saying that the two National Assemblies need toexchange experience and coordinate to promote economic cooperation,contributing to the Vietnam-Lao relationship./.

Personnel consolidation carried out at the NA's 10th session helps ensure continuous, unified, effective, and efficient leadership of the state apparatus; guarantee smooth and uninterrupted direction and governance; and prevent any leadership gaps in critical areas. All positions elected or approved by the legislature meet the key criteria required within the organisational structure.
