Lao press highlights PM Dung’s visit

Pasaxon, the official organ of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party(LPRP), stressed that the Lao people are happy to welcome PM Dung, hiswife and the high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese Government, whobring the great friendship and special solidarity and love of thefraternal Vietnamese people to the Lao people.

Laos and Vietnam are neighbouring countries on the IndochinesePeninsula which share a time-honoured close friendship and livetogether in peace, solidarity and mutual assistance, it said.

The paper affirmed that the traditional friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, twoStates and two peoples founded by President Ho Chi Minh and PresidentSouphanouvong and fostered by successive generations of the twocountries’ leaders and people have seen a sustainable development.

The two nations have always stood side by side and given each otherwholehearted and effective support and assistance during therevolutionary struggles in the past as well as in the current nationalconstruction and defence.

The Lao people wish PMDung’s visit a success, helping tighten the great friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States andpeople of Laos and Vietnam, and bring the relationship to a new heightin the interests of the two countries’ people as well as for peace,stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world./.
