Japanese competent forces on August 18 found a body believed to be of Bui Ngoc Diep, Vietnamese man drowning while swimming in Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka prefecture.
Diep’s body was recovered 50 metres from the coast of Nakatajima town, the city’s Minami district.
According to Shizuoka police, Diep and six other Vietnamese students and trainees were swept away by high waves while swimming in a forbidden sea area in the coastal city on August 15. Four among them were lucky to escape death.
Right on the day, Japanese search forces found the body of 23-year-old male trainee Nguyen Ba Tuong 500 meters away from the area where he had bathed.
Two days later, Do Thi Viet Trinh, another victim, was seen in the waters 100 metres off the coast of Nakatajima town.-VNA
