Hanoi (VNA) – Legislators will review a verification report and discuss a draft resolution of the National Assembly (NA) on reducing value-added tax (VAT); the draft amended Law on Corporate Income Tax; and the draft law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations, at the ongoing 8th session on November 28 in Hanoi.
Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan stated that the draft amended Law on Corporate Income Tax has added provisions requiring foreign enterprises supplying goods and services through e-commerce or digital platforms to pay taxes on taxable income generated in Vietnam.
The permanent establishment of a foreign enterprise includes e-commerce and digital technology platforms through which the enterprise provides goods and services in Vietnam.
It also supplemented provisions on other incomes (beyond incomes from primary production and business activities) for enterprises in general, taxable incomes generated in Vietnam by foreign enterprises (with or without a permanent establishment in Vietnam), and overseas income of Vietnamese enterprises.
Later, lawmakers will vote to approve a resolution on pilot handling of objects and assets in the course of investigation, prosecution and adjudication of a number of criminal cases, and the revised Law on Human Trafficking Prevention and Control.
They will also scrutinise personnel work during their sitting on the same day./.
