- President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev visited and delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Vietnam – Bulgaria relations at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) on November 26 as part of his ongoing official trip to the country.

Speaking to DAV's lecturers and students, the Bulgarian President positioned both nations as crucial bridges, with Vietnam serving as a connector between Bulgaria and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Bulgaria acting as a gateway for Vietnam to the European Union. - Vietnamese Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang made an official visit to Cambodia from November 23 to 26, during which he joined an annual meeting with Cambodian and Lao defence ministers, and witnessed a joint search and rescue exercise between the armies of the three countries.

The Vietnamese minister held several high-level meetings and participated in various bilateral and multilateral activities and events in Phnom Penh and other localities, with the aim of further promoting and deepening the defence cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as strengthen defence cooperation among the three countries. - The Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 26 organised the 2024 E-Commerce Connection and Development Forum themed “Cross-border e-commerce: Export opportunities for Vietnamese products”.

In her opening speech at the forum, Le Hoang Oanh, the agency’s director, emphasised that in 2023, Vietnam witnessed remarkable growth in e-commerce. She quoted a report by Amazon Global Selling Vietnam as saying that over 17 million products were exported, with value increasing by 50% and the number of selling partners growing by 40%. The overall cross-border e-commerce sector grew by 28.5% compared to the previous year. Read full story

- The TECHFEST Vietnam 2024 National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition announced its winners on November 26 in Hai Phong city, with the top teams recognised for their innovative solutions in healthcare and sustainable green development.

- The Management Board of Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve in the central province of Quang Tri announced on November 26 that a 150-kg Asiatic black bear, listed as an endangered species, was discovered in a forested area in the reserve through a camera trap system.

Accordingly, the bear, classified as a rare and endangered species under Group IB, was discovered as teams of the Management Board and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Vietnam collaborated to set up camera traps to investigate the presence of the saola (scientifically known as Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) in the reserve./.
