Following group discussions on the draft amended Law on the Organisation of the People’s Court, legislators of the National Assembly in Hanoi convened a plenary session in the afternoon of June 3 to consider their opinions on the law.

As many as 21 of them voiced their views, focusing on the functions, rights and responsibilities of the People’s Court, its management and working regulations.

Deputies also looked into the requirements of appointing a national judge, how long the judge should remain in office and at what age they should retire, among others.
