Senior officials of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front paid floral tribute to the late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on Oct. 9 in anticipation of the capital city’s millennium anniversary.
They included Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam.
The delegation was joined by the former Party, State, National Assembly, and Government leaders, revolutionary veterans and others.
Later, a delegation of Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front officials led by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument in commemoration of war fallen combatants.
The same day, Hanoi’s authorities and representatives from 62 cities and provinces, 1,000 Vietnamese heroic mothers and heroes, overseas Vietnamese and foreign guests, who will attend the city’s 1,000 th founding anniversary, also paid tribute to the late President Ho Chi Minh and war fallen combatants./.
