Leaving no one behind

By focusing on measures that are within its control, Vietnam has won praise from the international community for its success in controlling COVID-19 pandemic. But what truly lies between this success? “No one is left behind” is the motto of Vietnam in the fight against the virus.

Every single life counts

By May 11, Vietnam has recorded 288 positive COVID-19 cases, including 50 foreign patients.

Regardless of nationality, all patients received wholehearted treatments by Vietnamese doctors.

All-out efforts have been made to save the lives of patients in critical conditions.

No fatalities have been reported.

The recovery of the patients is not only their fortune, happiness but also a recognition and gratitude to doctors who treated them no matter where they come from.

I feel very fortunate to be in Vietnam. The staff has recently helped me renew my visa, so I can live for a month. Hopefully I can renew, I don’t know if it’s possible. But if I can stay longer, I will.

Amid the global health crisis, the Vietnamese government shut its borders to other countries.

Yet, multiple efforts have been exerted on special flights to bring stranded foreign people home.

Thousands of face masks and medical equipment were sent to China, Japan, the US, Russia and some other European nations to cope with the COVID-19 outbreak.
