Ly Son Island district of the central coastal province of Quang Ngai has released one million tiger prawn fry into the sea, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The activity aims to enhance local people’s awareness about the need to develop seafood resource.
The fry are supplied by the Duc Pho farm under the provincial aquatic breeding centre.
Quang Ngai’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has also cooperated with other districts to set free fish fry in large reservoirs such as Ba Lien, Ton Dung and Liet Son.-VNA
