Made-in-Vietnam games are expected to be introduced at the Vietnam Games Show 2009 and VietGames Tournament 2009 to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 27-29.

The events were launched by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and the Vietnam Game and Digital Content Business Club (VGB) in Hanoi on August 12.

The two games shows, which are the most important trade promotion activities of the Vietnamese game and e-entertainment industry in the year, are expected to draw the participation of local leading businesses, including VinaGame, FPT Online and DVC Net2E.

Formerly the International Software Exhibition and Game Festival (ISGAF), held annually since 2006, the Vietnam Games Show 2009 will include an exhibition of games and e-entertainment equipment, seminars on games, partners’ meetings and game competitions.

Besides, game fashion shows and a contest to select the best showroom at the exhibition will be also held.

Parallel with the exhibition will be official game competitions for Vietnamese gamers at the VietGames Tournament 2009, which aims to encourage healthy online gaming activities among young people.

This will be the second time the tournament is held in the country, offering a meeting venue for gamers and game producers./.
