Man smuggling 10 bricks of heroin arrested in Son La

Border guards in the northern mountainous province of Son La and police in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts on October arrested a local man who was smuggling 10 bricks of heroin.

Son La (VNA) – Border guards inthe northern mountainous province of Son La and police in Moc Chau and Van Hodistricts on October arrested a local man who was smuggling 10 bricks ofheroin.

Hang A Sang, born in 1996 and residing in PaKhen 2 sub-area, Moc Chau town, was caught while transporting the drugs. Sang admittedthat he bought the drugs at border area.

Authorised agencies also seized other relatedexhibits. Further investigation into the case is underway.

Earlier on October 7, Son La police arrested a suspect who was illegallytransporting four bricks of heroin and 2,000 synthetic pills in Na Ot village,Na Ot commune, Mai Son district.

Tong Van Cho, born in 1976 and residing in Na Nghiu 2, Na Nghiu commune,Song Ma district was caught red-handed while attempting to transport the drugs.

Cho later confessed at the local police station that he was hired totransport the drugs.-VNA
