Military Region 7 vows to boost mass mobilisation work

HCM City (VNA) –
The Military Region 7 High Command plans to step up mass mobilisation activities and build closer relations with the people, said a senior officer.

Major General Du Truong Giang, Deputy Commander of the Military Region 7, made the assertion at a recent meeting with head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai in Ho Chi Minh City.

Giang said the region’s officers and soldiers will strive to fulfill all tasks assigned by the Party and State.

Mai said apart from standing ready to combat, the Military Region 7 has paid attention to mass mobilisation by building good relations with relevant units in and out of the city as well as launching campaigns to encourage people from all social strata to follow the Party and State’s policies.

She congratulated the Military Region 7 on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22) and the 28th anniversary of the All-People’s Defence Festival (December 22).

While visiting the Saigon Newport Corporation, Mai expressed her hope that the corporation will continue promoting mass mobilisation activities.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Nghiem said the company will maintain and develop effective models to improve the work and create favourable conditions for units to fulfil the key tasks of national defence and business production.-VNA
