– The Embassy of Vietnam in Cambodia alongwith Vietnamese representative offices, overseas Vietnamese businesses andstudents laid wreaths and offered incense at the Vietnam-Cambodia FriendshipMonument in Phnom Penh on December 21.

The event aims to commemorate Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts,as well as patriotic Cambodians who sacrificed their lives for the cause ofCambodia’s liberation and helped Cambodian people escape from the genocidal KhmerRouge regime, contributing to Cambodia’s revival and development.

It’s also meant to celebrate the 73rd founding anniversary ofVietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944), the 28th anniversary of VietnamAll-People’s Defence Day (December 22, 1989) and the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967).

In recent days, many Vietnamese and Cambodian delegations visited the Vietnamese Defence AttachéOffice in Cambodia to offer congratulation on the anniversary of the VietnamPeople’s Army and Vietnam’s All-People’s Defence Day.
