President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Huynh Dam has sent his best wishes to Khmer ethnic people on the occasion of their New Year festival, Chol Chnam Thmay.
In his greeting letter, Dam praised the Khmer people’s efforts in overcoming difficulties and challenges as well as gaining important achievements in economic development, social welfare, security and defence.
“Thanks to these efforts, the material and spiritual life of the Khmer community, all people classes, ethnic groups and religions nationwide have been much improved,” he said.
He expressed belief that in 2010 when the country celebrates many important events, the Khmer people will continue upholding their tradition of solidarity and patriotism to make greater and more practical achievements, contributing to building the great national unity and national construction and defence./.
