Leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and National Assembly continued to receive congratulatory messages from foreign leaders on the country’s 66 th National Day (Sept. 2).
Messages came from Brunei King Hassanal Bolkiah, Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly Kim Yong Nam and Premier Choe Yong Rim of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The Vietnamese leaders were also congratulated by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Japanese Emperor Akihito, President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak and US President Barack Obama.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also received messages of greetings from his DPRK and Russian counterparts, Pak Ui Chun and Sergey Lavrov./.
