The People’s Committee of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak presented the State title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to 64 mothers whose husbands and children sacrificed their lives in the past wars for national independence on February 13.
A total of 469 women in the province have been honoured with the title, with only 53 of them still alive.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the local People’s Committee Y Dham Enuol said the recognition aims to express gratitude towards people who made valuable contributions to the cause of national independence.
The same day, several officials and units in the province were also awarded the Independence Order and the Labour Order for their outstanding achievements in national building and protection.-VNA
