– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Khanh Hoa’s General Hospital and SOS Children's Village Nha Trang, and attended the inaugural ceremony of a theatre in Nha Trang city, within the framework of his working visit to the south central province.
At the provincial General Hospital, PM Chinh visited and presented gifts to patients and their relatives, and learned about the hospital’s service attitude as well as its care and treatment for patients.Read full text

– The 12th Vietnam-US Political, Security and Defence Dialogue was held in Washington D.C on March 30 under the co-chair of Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc and US Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Jessica Lewis.
At the event, the two sides expressed their delight at the extensive and practical development of the two countries’ relations in the bilateral, regional and international aspects based on the principle of respecting independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and political institutions of each other.Read full text

– Vietnam and Israel on April 2 announced the conclusion of negotiations for their free trade agreement (FTA), creating a premise for the two countries to sign the deal right this year.

– The Vietnam - Holy See Joint Working Group held the 10th-round meeting in the Vatican on March 31 under the co-chair of Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang and Monsignor Miroslaw Wachowski, Under-Secretary for the Holy See's Relations with States.

– A ceremony to launch the Vietnam-Italy Year 2023 was held in Rome on March 31 evening in celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations (March 23, 1973-2023), and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that over half a century, Vietnam and Italy have become more and more important partners of each other in all fields, from politics - diplomacy, trade and investment to culture, tourism, and education and training, in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.Read full text

– Vietnam’s tourism holds a lot of potential for development, especially in the context of new favourable factors, according to an article published on the website of Lianhe Zaobao newspaper.
The article quoted Suan Teck Kin, Executive Director in Global Economics and Markets Research of Singapore-based United Overseas Bank (UOB), as saying that the "bright spot" for the Southeast Asian economy this year is the tourism sector, as well as related services such as accommodation, catering, retail, transport and entertainment.Read full text

– A culture-tourism week kicked off in the south central province of Phu Yen on April 1 night, expected to recover and spur local tourism.
The programme is organised by the provincial People’s Committee to celebrate 412 years of Phu Yen’s formation and development (1611-2023) and 48 years of its liberation (April 1, 1975). There will be a festival for music bands and art troupes in and outside the province, a cuisine fair and art performances within the framework of the week, to last until April 7.Read full text

– Representatives from around 180 Japanese businesses and investors on April 1 attended a Tokyo workshop on Vietnamese real estate, during which many of them highly appreciated the potential of Vietnam’s property market.
