- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hosted a reception for General Director of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Ho in Hanoi on August 12, during which he urged the corporation to continue its pioneer role in the country’s transition to a digital, and green economy.

Vietnam will accompany and encourage businesses to step up green transition and reduce carbon footprints through developing regulations on emission limits, carbon credit market, carbon tax, green finance and land incentives, he stressed. Read full story

- The article named “Resolving to build a strong Party, and a prosperous, powerful, democratic, equal and civilised Vietnam” by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam is a strong vision statement that highlights the core priorities of the Party and State of Vietnam today, according to an Indian professor.

Professor Archana Upadhyay from Jawaharlal Nehru University said in her interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency that Lam emphasised the government's priorities and the superiority of institutions which will help the leaders and people of Vietnam achieve their goals, including turning Vietnam into a high-income developed country by 2045, which, she assessed, will mark a significant leap from its current status as a middle-income country. - Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day (AI4VN) 2024 is themed “Unlock the Power of Generative AI”, and is scheduled to take place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on August 23.

This year’s event is expected to attract a large number of experts, and leaders of technology and AI-developing businesses in Vietnam and other countries, along with many universities. Read full story

- Vietnam’s foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction continues to prosper in July, and quality of FDI capital flows increase sharply thanks to careful project selection, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said at a recent regular Government meeting last month.

According to the ministry’s Foreign Investment Agency, the total registered FDI capital in Vietnam this year to the end of July surpassed 18 billion USD, up 10.9% over the same period in 2023. Read full story

"Pho Nam Dinh" has been categorised under the domain of folk knowledge, meeting the criteria of representation of community and local identity, reflection of cultural diversity and human creativity passed down through generations, possibility of revival and long-term existence, and the local community's consensus, voluntary nomination, and commitment to safeguarding.
