Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on September 24 presented the Friendship Order to Moscow State Mining University (MGGU) and Friendship Medals to its leaders in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Nhan spoke highly of MGGU’s positive efforts in training Vietnamese mining staff and contributing to strengthening relations between Vietnam and Russia.
Prof. Korchac Andrei Vladimirovich, Principal of MGGU expressed his feelings of great honour to receive these noble rewards from the Vietnamese State.
MGGU was one of the first universities of the former Soviet Union, now Russian Federation to train Vietnamese students. Since 1953, MGGU has trained 300 Vietnamese engineers specialising in mining and underground works and 50 doctors and associate doctors in science and technology./.
