The global bicycle market is projected to reach 69 billion USD by 2029, growing at 4.2% annually, according to consultancy and market research company Mordor Intelligence.
Deputy DDC Director-General Dr. Anek Mungomklang added that 84% of motorcyclists hospitalised between 2020 and 2024 were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident. He emphasised that the number of motorcyclists not wearing helmets was eight times higher than those who did.
The four-day event features nearly 500 booths of about 400 companies from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan (China), and Vietnam.
Honda Vietnam reported robust sales growth in April across both its motorcycle and automobile segments, with year-on-year increases of 6.9% and 18.9%, respectively.
A total of 673,055 motorcycles were sold in the first three months of 2025, signalling a rebound after a period of stagnation.
