National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung joined almost 1,000 children in Hanoi to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at West Lake Water Park on the evening of Sept. 12.
The NA leader said he hoped that the Mid-Autumn or “Trung Thu” Festival would be a meaningful gift that parents, teachers and local authorities offered to children.
Hung recommended the city’s children follow Uncle Ho’s teachings, to strive to achieve their best and record excellent marks in study and become useful citizens, contributing to building Vietnam into a more prosperous nation.
On this occasion, NA Chairman Hung presented gifts to 23 outstanding children of Hanoi and enjoyed artistic performances given by local children.
At the event, children were also entertained with lion dances, circus shows, a lantern parade and martial art performances./.
