National Assembly deputies gathered in a plenary session for the legislature’s ongoing sitting on October 28 to hear reports related to law violation prevention and control and the work of leaders of the law enforcement agencies.
The reports included the prevention of and fight against law violations and crime, the work of the Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the work of the Judge of the Supreme People’s Court and the work of verdict enforcement.
The lawmakers were provided with reports on a number of draft laws and discussed differences in the draft law of the law on receiving citizens.
On October 29 , the deputies will continue their plenary session to hear reports and discuss the draft law on plant protection and quarantine in the morning. They will discuss in groups in the afternoon.
The sixth session of the 13th National Assembly opened in Hanoi on October 21, focusing once again on the country’s hugely important socio-economic development decisions.
During the 40 days of sitting, deputies are scheduled to examine the Government’s report on the country’s economic restructuring master plan, review three years of implementation of national target programmes for 2011-2015 and discuss the supplementary issuance of Government bonds to fund a number of important and urgent projects.
The NA will ratify the Government’s proposed personnel, elect positions for some NA agencies and decide other issues.-VNA
