The newly constructed National Assembly house will be officially handed over to the National Assembly Office in September.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the steering committee of NA house construction, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, on August 17.
Although the premises has been in operation since late last year, the committee has been continuously asking the project board and contractors to complete the unfinished components as well as make certain additions to the premises, such as an underground car park.
As a new national symbol, the Deputy PM asked the committee to carefully review all main construction aspects, including equipment, interior and exterior decoration, as well as issues relating to security and safety.
He also requested the contractors and investors to complete the accounting and auditing works of the project before December this year.
So far, the meetings of the two National Assembly sessions and several international events have taken place in this house building.-VNA
