Phuc said thatalthough Vietnam has made strides in communications in recent years, thereremains a big gap with many other countries in this field.
Digital technology,the Internet, social networks and new means of communication are challengingthe media in general and the VOV in particular, he stated.
The Government leaderasked the radio to improve the quality and expand the coverage of its channels.
He agreed with theagency’s proposal of expanding its VOV traffic channel to the central coastal,central and southern regions.
