Nation’s founding kings commemorated

The incense offering ceremony was the first of a series of activitiesto herald the 1000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi in 2010.

The NA Chairman also offered incenses at Ngoc Son temple and themonument dedicated to Kings of the Le Dynasty at Hoan Kiem lake.

The same day, authorities of the northern midland province of Phu Thoorganised an incense offering ceremony at the Hung Temple, which isdedicated to Hung Kings – the legendary founders of Vietnam .

This has become an annual activity every spring to honour the HungKings’ services to the nation in line with President Ho Chi Minh’steaching that “the Hung Kings had the merit of founding our country,you and I have to defend it together.”/.

To further advance bilateral ties in the new era, the two leaders agreed to continue making full use of existing cooperation mechanisms across all channels, including meetings between the two Parties, promote exchanges between young leaders and youth from both countries, and expand cooperation between their legislative, executive and judicial bodies, people’s organisations and localities.

This is PM Hung’s first official visit to Cambodia. It holds particular significance, demonstrating the high priority that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam attach to relations with Cambodia and contributing to further deepening the bilateral ties of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”.

Vietnam promotes Party diplomacy at international conference in Mexico

Assoc.
