Hanoi (VNA)– National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue chaired a nationwide teleconferenceon November 4 to discuss the 2022 supervision programmes of the legislature and its Standing Committee.
The event aims to seek consensus on the implementation of the programmes, thus improving theefficiency of the legislature’s supervisory activities.
In his opening speech,Chairman Hue said next year, the NA and its Standing Committee will embark onfour thematic supervision programmes, including two on thrift practice andwastefulness prevention, and planning work by the NA, and two others onreception of citizens and settlement of complaints and denunciations, andarrangement of district- and communal-level administrative units by the NAStanding Committee.
In order to makesupervision effective and efficient, the top legislator asked for synchronousimplementation from the central to local level, as well as cross-inspection tofind out weaknesses and shortcomings, for the ultimate goal of national development.
Participants at theevent later looked into ways to ensure effective, flexible and practicalimplementation of the programmes amid the COVID-19 pandemic./.
