Nearly 3,000 athletes took part in Tay Ho Half Marathon 2021 organised by the People’s Committee of Hanoi’s Tay Ho district on April 17. Of these, more than 1,000 people competed in half marathon.

Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly3,000 athletes took part in Tay Ho Half Marathon 2021 organised by the People’sCommittee of Hanoi’s Tay Ho district on April 17. Of these, more than 1,000people competed in half marathon.

They competed in four different categories of 21km, 15km, 6km and 3km.

In the men's half-marathoncategory, Bui Van Dung won the championship with 1 hour 13minutes 54 seconds while Le Thi Bich finished first in the women's halfmarathon in 1 hour 22 minutes 22 seconds.

The competition, first organised in 2020, has been canceled twice in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pham Xuan Tai, vice chairmanof Tay Ho district’s People Committee and head of the event’s organising board, said the tournament is one of the activities held to promote sports andencourage people to run for better health and fitness./.

More than 150 documents, items, and photos will be on display at the Vietnam National Museum of History in an exhibition celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930 - 2025) and toward the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.
