New Defence Deputy Minister Phan Van Giang (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has appointed Commander of Military Zone 1, Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang as Deputy Defence Minister.
The 56-year-old Giang hailing from the northern province of Thai Nguyen is a member of the Party Central Committee.
He used to be Commander of the Army Corps 1 and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.-VNA
