Ninh Binh preserving and promoting the silk-reeling craft of Co Chat village

The centuries-old silk-reeling craft of Co Chat village in Ninh Giang commune (Ninh Binh province) has long been a source of livelihood and cultural identity for locals. However, market fluctuations have increasingly challenged the survival of traditional products. To revitalize the craft, local authorities have drawn up plans to maintain mulberry cultivation areas, encourage farmers to return to their ancestral trade, and upgrade infrastructure to develop craft village tourism.
