No Vietnamese killed in bomb attack in Yemen

Agencies in Yemen have confirmed that no Vietnamese were killed in the terrorist attack on the Yemeni Defence Ministry Complex on December 5, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

The embassy responded on December 7 to reports that two Vietnamese doctors had died in the attack.

Director of the Yemeni Defence Ministry hospital, the site of theattack, also officially informed Yemeni authorities that no Vietnamesedoctors or staff are employed by the hospital.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arab is working with relevant Yemeni agencies to keep a close watch on the case.

The bomb attack on the defence ministry and hospital in Sanaa onDecember 5 killed at least 52 people, including several foreign doctors,and injured 167 others.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has claimed responsibility for the act.-VNA

Memorial service held for 731 fallen soldiers in Ho Chi Minh City

From June 23 to October 5, Team K74 and other forces recovered 731 sets of martyrs’ remains from the park. Biological samples and DNA samples collected from relatives of unidentified fallen soldiers are being analysed and stored in the national gene bank to support identification efforts.

The assembly comprises a main bridge structure weighing about 1,400 tonnes and a specialised steel supporting frame weighing around 2,000 tonnes. During testing, about 30 self-propelled modular transporters were used to lift the assembly 40cm off the ground for technical inspections. Sensors and monitoring equipment recorded key parameters.
