Northwestern localities, HCM City to hold first culture, tourism week in Lao province

A culture and tourism week of Vietnam’s northwestern region and Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to take place for the first time in the Lao province of Luang Prabang from October 25 to 27.

Hanoi (VNA) – A culture and tourism week of Vietnam’s northwestern regionand Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to take place for the first time in the Laoprovince of Luang Prabang from October 25 to 27.

The week,to be organised under the chair of the People’s Committee of Dien Bienprovince, will feature a wide range of cultural, sport and tourism activities introducingtypical cultural identities and tourism products of the northwestern region,HCM City, and Luang Prabang.

Outstandingactivities will include exhibitions of tourism photos of the Vietnamese and Laolocalities; displays of tourism and agricultural products; and experience ofcultural, sport and tourism activities of the localities.

Farmiliarisationtrips, a workshop promoting tourism of the northwest and HCM City, and acultural exchange programme between northwestern provinces and Luang Prabangwill also be held.

The cultureand tourism week is part of the 2023 cooperation plan under the agreement ontourism development cooperation between HCM City and eight northwestern provincesfor 2020 - 2025.

It isexpected to help foster the cooperation, friendship, and cultural, economic,trade and tourism ties between the Vietnamese localities and Luang Prabang, aswell as other northern Lao provinces./.

Exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh opens at EXPO 2025 in Japan

The exhibition, running from May 23-25, people can watch valuable diplomatic films of the Ho Chi Minh era, and learn about the Nguyen Tat Thanh – Nguyen Ai Quoc's 30-year journey of finding a way to save the country. Vietnamese cultural values promoted in Germany

Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Leipzig Bui Quang Huy said that the event was expected to help the second and third generations of overseas Vietnamese in Germany better understand their roots, and the Vietnamese community in Leipzig to strengthen solidarity.

Bookcase project helps spread Vietnamese language in Thailand

Featuring 600 titles, the bookcase offers a diverse range of content suitable for all ages and proficiency levels. It includes colorful picture books for young children who are beginners in their mother tongue, as well as textbooks and reference materials for students at Vietnamese language schools across Thailand.
