The official friendship visit to Vietnam from June 28-29 by General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP)’s Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith is an expression of the two countries’ consistent foreign policies of attaching great importance to preserving and improving their great friendship relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.

The PathetLao newspaper of the Lao news agency KPL on June 24 frontpaged an article on the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
The special Vietnam - Laos friendship has been growing unceasingly across the board in the recent past, including in trade, which has been developing in an increasingly substantive manner.
The Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and people are resolved to preserve and promote special relations between the two countries intensively and extensively in any circumstances, the top leaders affirmed on June 28.
The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence stands ready to send more experts and medical supplies to help Laos in the COVID-19 fight when requested by its Lao counterpart, Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen. Phan Van Giang said on June 28.
