Algiers (VNA) – Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Rachid Beladehane on May 6 paid tribute to late President of Vietnam General Le Duc Anh at the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria.

Writing in the condolences book, he highlighted the Vietnamese former leader’s contribution to the national construction cause as well as his efforts to improve Vietnam’s position in the international arena.

He expressed his deep condolences to the Vietnamese State and people over the passing of former President Le Duc Anh.

Earlier, the respect-paying ceremony for the deceased was organised by the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese representative offices in the African country on May 5. As of May 6, more than 40 delegations came to commemorate the former leader.

Meanwhile, the same ceremony was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia at the weekend. Foreign ambassadors and representatives in the host nation came to pay last respect to Le Duc Anh.-VNA
