Covering a site of 650 sq.m, the 2.2 metre high marker, which is made of granite, was built at a cost of over 3 billion VND.
Ha Ban, Chairman of the Kon Tum provincial People’s Committee said the marker is among 28 new border markers to be erected along 58-km common border between the two provinces under a joint plan to strengthen the two countries’ border marker system.
The two provinces have so far completed the planning of 22 border markers and are trying to fulfil the remaining markers by July, he added./.
