A childhood world fair and a national exhibition of paintings by children opened on May 28 in Hanoi . The event, featuring a vivid and colourful world of childhood , is among activities in the lead up to International Children’s Day.
The programme aims to provide children with a playing ground, while encouraging the community to care more for children.
417 drawings on display are selected from more than 90,000 entries of a recent national contest.
On the occasion, the organiser presented five first prizes, 10 second, 15 third and 20 consolation prizes to 20 groups and individuals taking part in the contest.
Various cultural and art activities and games for children will also be held during the event.
The programme is underway in the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Centre until June 1.-VNA
