Hanoi (VNA) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has sent a greeting message to the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on the occasion of the 64th founding anniversary of the LPRP (March 22, 1955-2019).
The message read that the CPV and Vietnamese people congratulate the LPRP and Lao people on the great, historical achievements won during their past struggle for national independence and the current national reform and construction, especially after three years of implementing the resolutions of the 10th congress of the LPRP.
“Alongside the important attainments that the two Parties, States, and peoples have recorded over the years, we are delighted that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos have been unceasingly reinforced, developed, and deepened to become more practical and effective in all fields, contributing to the national renovation, construction, and defence in both countries,” stated the message.
The statement conveyed the thanks of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam for their Lao counterparts’ whole-hearted and effective support given to Vietnam over the years.
On the occasion, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and President Nguyen Phu Trong sent flowers to General Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith. Member of the CPV Central Committee and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan conveyed greetings to his Lao counterpart Sounthon Sayachak.
A delegation of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations visited the Lao Embassy in Vietnam to expressed congratulations on the special occasion.–VNA
